1) What’s your favourite childhood memory?

Definitely going diving with my Oupa. He used to take us out to the reef and we’d go and look at the coral. I think I was about 4, and I remember him customizing his old snorkel and letting me wear it.

2) Do you have any serious regrets?

So many. Mainly stupid things I’ve said to people that I didn’t really mean that led to lost friendships. My main regret would be not talking to my parents about Lauren earlier, rather than them finding out. They might have found it easier to accept if they felt like I could trust them enough to tell them.

3) What would make you instantly not want to be friends with someone anymore? (Apart from the super obvious things)

I think my problem is that I’m far too forgiving, and I let most people treat me like shit, and they all get away with it. I don’t stand up to anyone. I think if someone had an issue with my sexuality and discriminated against me for it I might start to dislike them, or if someone hurt my family. But aside from that, I can’t think of anything.

4) Would you rather be rich and incredibly ugly, like, HIDEOUS, or poor and wonderfully beautiful? No-one would ever give you any money because of the way you look, and you wouldn’t get free shit either. And I’m talking dirt poor.

This is a hard one. I don’t really care that much about looks, and I don’t really care that much about money. I would probably be dirt poor though, because I know what that feels like, and it’s not too bad. As long as I had enough to eat, and my camera by my side, I’d be fine.

5) Do you feel bad when you see adverts about starving children or do you not give it a second thought?

I feel bad, mostly, but as a media analyst I can’t help but scrutinize the adverts and analyse how much the producers use audience theories to guilt trip the audience. The eye shots, the use of slow music, the deep, concerned voice over, and all the other emotive shots. It’s quite bad really.

6) If one day a genie came to you and said you could have 1 billion ££, but only if you can spend it in a day… what would you spend it on?

I’d buya new camera for myself, a touch screen PC for Lauren, cars for all my friends. Pay off any of my friends debts and my own. And maybe buy a massive share in a big-ass company so I could get even more dolla over time. Aha.

7) If you could tell someone anything right now, what would it be?

I’d tell Lauren all the things I love most about her, and tell her how I really truly feel. And what I want to do in the future, cause most days I just don’t have the lady balls.

8) Do you believe in soul mates?

FO SHO. I believe certain people are just made for each other.

9) What’s the funniest thing that’s happened to you/you’ve seen lately?

Wow. There’s a lot of funny things that have happened recently. I can’t remember them all. But Dan picking Lauren up and throwing her into the paddling pool was quite hilarious.

10) Would you strangle everyone in your family to death if it meant you could stop all wars forever? LUL oh and you’d never get put in prison or anything. Like the world would be peaceful forever.

Cat, why do you always come up with the strangest questions? Aha. Uhm. No. I couldn’t do it. I love them all too much. And humanity itself kinda sucks. But a peaceful world would be cool. But a peaceful world without my family wouldn’t be a great world for me. I suppose that’s kinda selfish.

11) What’s been bothering you today or the past few days? Let it allllllllllll out.

Nuffingggggg. Honestly, I feel great. I’m with the girl I love more than anyone on the planet. We just had our 10 month anniversary. Life is good.
